County and Provider Assessment Orientation Materials


The following materials are designed to help agencies prepare for the ReBAR assessment process:
  • Assessment and IBA Implementation For Counties and Providers - A presentation focusing on "Getting Ready" for assessments and covering the assessment tool, interview participants, scheduling, the use of assessment information, and other sources of information.
  • Staff Preparation for a ReBAR Assessment - A presentation designed to be used by counties and providers to orient staff who will be participating in assessment interviews. Examples of assessment questions and ratings and suggestions for preparation are provided.
  • Conducting the Assessment - an 8 minute video developed by the Washington Division of Developmental Disabilities which shows how questions are asked during an actual interview.

Self-Advocate Consumer and Family Orientation Materials


The ReBAR Program has contracted with the Oregon Council on Developmental Disabilities to provide family and self-advocate consumer orientation materials and sessions.
  • Getting Ready for Your Assessment Interview. This brochure is sent to each individual consumer and family member scheduled for an assessment.

  • OCDD – Orientation to ReBAR Assessment. The OCDD web site provides the following materials:
    • Self-Advocate, family Local Orientation Schedules
    • Other “New” information and materials

  • Self-Advocate ReBAR Interview Workbook. The workbook is currently under development. Please be sure to subscribe to receive an alert when it becomes available.
